A founding member of the legendary 'Rock with Horns' band CHICAGO, Robert has lived the changes that have occurred in the band and the world of music. This Rock band, which began as an experiment in 1967, has alternately broken new musical ground, set trends, fallen into disfavor, rebounded and continued to be successful, constantly touring in the USA and Internationally, and found a permanent and influential place in the mainstream of Pop/ Rock.
Robert's presence and participation has had much impact. His list of HIT songs include such classics as: "Does Anybody Really know What Time It Is?", "Beginnings", "Questions 67 & 68", "Free", "25 or 6 to 4", "Another Rainy Day in New York City", "Harry Truman", "Saturday in the Park" among many others.
He has also had an active solo career with TEN well received albums:
His solo activities have brought interaction with a wide range of other musicians, an experience which he treasures. Stylistically, his music is in the domain of Urban Pop / Art Pop / World Music, which reflect his openness to all music.
He has a worldwide fan-base. The Robert LammBand performed a live concert in Auckland, New Zealand which was filmed and recorded for the CD and DVD release entitled "LEAP OF FAITH" (Elements Music).
Currently a new album,"THE BOSSA PROJECT" (releasd May 2008) has been circulating and getting great reviews from listeners and musicians, worldwide. This project re-unites Robert, singing and arranging, with New York producer John Van Eps, who arranges, performs and remixes a number of jazzy bossa nova tracks.
