Trent’s band Magellan is known internationally for its own brand of progressive rock.

Affiliated with BMI as both publisher and songwriter, he is a voting member of N.A.R.A.S. (National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences) and also a member of the National Music Publishers Association.

Trent has produced music with renown artists such as Robert Lamm (Chicago) Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull), Steve Walsh (Kansas), Tony Levin (John Lennon, Pink Floyd ), Steve Howe (Yes), Terry Bozzio (U.K, Missing Persons), as well as members of Dream Theater.

He co-founded HipSolve Media, a web-based application built to give professional musicians and record labels hands-on control over online sales and distribution of their music without the costly commissions charged by other services. He is also a recovering trombonist.
